EMBRACING HOPE

Creative expression is an integral part of my life. It feeds my spirit, my mind and my wellbeing. It promotes mindfulness in my days as I see and respond to the beauty around me. Taking photographs encourages closer observation and this engagement in the moment brings with it joy and gratitude for my life.

Flowers and the landscape are a constant source of inspiration for me, offering endless possibilities and potential for expression. The images I take provide a starting point to respond both creatively and emotionally through editing. This editing process is meditative,

allowing me to explore my emotional landscape while challenging myself creatively. It gives me a chance to pause and respond, using the subject matter of the image as a point of departure to express what I feel.

My images share a quiet energy, an energy that embraces gratitude and a desire for peace. While the pandemic has underlined the fragility of our lives, witnessing nature’s beauty and capacity for renewal allows me to look forward with hope while celebrating the beauty and wonder found in this moment.
